Who are Klarna?

Klarna are a payment service provider from Sweden who provide complete responsibility for your payment. They are responsible for managing payments for more than 200,000 online stores including ASOS and River Island.

How does Klarna Pay later in 3 interest-free instalments work?

The pay in 3 option allows you to pay for your purchase across 3 interest free instalments. When you select Klarna as your payment method at the checkout you will enter your card details and the payment for each of the 3 equal instalments will be taken from this card. The first payment will be processed when the order is confirmed by Luxe and the other 2 instalments are taken 30 and then 60 days later. Klarna also has an app where you can keep track of your payment plan.

How does Klarna pay later in 30 days work?

When Luxe has confirmed your order Klarna will send you an email with details of how to pay. You will have 30 days to decide whether you want to keep your order and you only pay if you wish to keep it. You can then go on and pay online or in the Klarna app.

How do I know if I qualify for either of these Klarna products?

Your eligibility for these functions are determined by the following:

  • Your age-you must be over 18
  • Your financial situation-but please be aware when you opt for this function Klarna’s assessment will not affect your credit rating

How can I help to boost my chances of Klarna accepting me?

Klarna uses various factors to determine whether or not you will be accepted. You can make sure you have done everything in your control to be successful in your application by ensuring all details such as name and address information are filled out correctly and accurately. Klarna evaluates all orders on a case by case basis so even if you have been accepted by Klarna for a previous order this does not mean you will be accepted every time and this works in the same way if you are rejected for an order.

What information do I need to disclose to make a purchase using Klarna?

For both Klarna products you will need to provide the following:

-Mobile number

-Email address

-Billing address

-Debit/Credit card details

Will Klarna carry out a credit check against me?

Klarna may carry out a soft credit search. This search will not impact your credit score and are only detectable by you and Klarna, not other creditors.

What if I cancel or return my order?  

Once Luxe have accepted your return/cancellation your Klarna payments will be cancelled and any payments already made will be fully refunded. Refunds will be issued within 5-7 days of them being accepted by Luxe. If you have not yet paid for the goods, your statement will just be cancelled.

What if I fail to pay for the order?

If Klarna cannot collect the payment on the date agreed they will then make another attempt to collect a couple of days after. If this is unsuccessful they will send you a bill for the complete outstanding figure which will then be due 15 days later.  Your credit score will still not be affected even if you pay late.

Is my card information safe?  

 Payment details are used securely by Klarna. Luxe does not access or store any of this payment information.  

Can I pay my balance off early?

  Yes you can pay off your balance either on the Klarna app or their website

How do I know if my payment has been received?

Klarna will provide notifications throughout the payment process to let you know both due dates and to confirm when payments have been made.

What happens if I have been issued with my Klarna statement but haven’t yet received the goods from Luxe?  

In this case please contact Luxe to find out the status of your order. You can also get in touch with Klarna to delay the payment until the order has arrived.
